General Info

Tucked away in the energetic heart of Shibuya, Kenick Curry feels like the kind of place you discover once and keep coming back to. Located at Japan, 〒150-0042 Tokyo, Shibuya, Udagawacho, 13−9 KN渋谷2ビル 4F, this Japanese curry restaurant blends playful creativity with comforting, deeply satisfying flavors. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it easy to slow down and focus on what really matters here-the food.

The menu is compact but full of personality, and every dish feels thoughtfully crafted. One standout that regulars often talk about is the ランチパクチースペシャル, a lunch option that balances rich curry with the fresh punch of cilantro. It’s bold without being overwhelming, and it sets the tone for what this kitchen does best. Another crowd favorite is the ケニックカレー恐竜の卵スペシャル, which arrives at the table looking just as fun as it tastes. Beneath its playful presentation is a deeply layered curry that keeps each bite interesting.

For those who enjoy variety on one plate, ケニックカレー×魯肉飯の合いがけ is a smart choice. The combination of curry and Taiwanese-style braised pork rice creates a satisfying contrast of spices and textures. The ケニックカレー ルーロー飯 offers a similar experience in a more focused way, while simple additions like 豆腐 help balance the richness and make the meal feel complete. Small plates are available too, which makes sharing easy and adds flexibility if you like to sample different flavors.

Service here is smooth and friendly, with attentive table service that never feels rushed. The restaurant is thoughtfully equipped with a wheelchair-accessible toilet, and payments are hassle-free thanks to NFC mobile payments and credit cards being accepted. These details might seem small, but they add up to a comfortable dining experience that works for both quick lunches and relaxed dinners.

Among Shibuya’s countless dining locations, Kenick Curry stands out in reviews for its creativity and consistency. It’s the kind of restaurant where the food feels personal, the menu invites curiosity, and each visit leaves a strong impression that lingers long after the last spoonful.

What customers say?

“ I am not sure if I am just exaggerating but their Keema curry is really good! It is overflowing with flavors. I challenger their big serving(大盛り) and I got it wrong in a good way. ”

“ It's a small restaurant, ran entirely by Kenick, and it is amazing! The food was some of the most flavourful dishes we had in Japan, and that is saying something cause we've had some amazing food around. You can definitely taste an Indian influence on the flavours (cardamon, cloves, cinnamon, coriander) but with a twist, and it was clear that everyone in the restaurant was really enjoying their meal - nothing was left on the plates! Despite being on his own, Kenicks service was fast, friendly, and the place has a lovely atmosphere! It was not the easiest place to find as it is located on the 4th floor of a building, but definitely worth the search. I will be recommending it to everyone visiting Japan. Also worth mentioning that (at the time of writing) Kenick has set up a small rack of cool "Kenick Curry" branded jumpers by the front door, which he is selling to raise money for the earthquake victims in Ishikawa. An unique buy for a good cause. ”

“ I had option number 2, pork keema curry with rice and minced pork. It was great! Very different from other Japanese curry in flavor and composition. I was full, but didn’t feel heavy afterward. I would definitely eat here again. I came in around 1pm on a Saturday and there was no wait. ”

“ This is THE place to get curry from the real deal. No frills, no nothing. Just great food and great service. Highly recommend the pork curry. ”

“ Very tasty and perfect location. I ordered the coriander keema curry, which was delicious. If you love coriander, I highly recommend it because it’s the coriander you need. Also, my wife had the avocado egg keema curry. You can choose the portion of the rice, so you customize it to your liking. The restaurant was a bit small, but I liked the trendy vibe. They also offer Ubereats and I’ll definitely try it again. ”

“ Did a Google search for curry and kenick curry was just around the corner. Small place. Seems popular with locals which is always a good sign. Was surprised it's more Indian style curry. A good surprise. Good is delicious. Probs are larger sized for Japan. Kenick is working hard to run the place on his own. Nice casual vibe to the place. Relaxed. Definitely with a visit if you're in Shibuya. ”

“ An incredible curry, not like a traditional Japanese curry, almost like a curry salad for lack of a better way to describe it. Everyone I went with said it was one of the best meals they’d had in days. The coriander curry was great. I was curious as to why it didn’t have a higher rating and you can see a lot of the one star reviews are from people who didn’t eat there and were angry they went during non business hours. ”

“ Stopped by here on a whim at around 1pm local time. Curry was absolutely delicious and this place has a no frills vibe to it. Would definitely eat here again. ”
